Air Jordan I Retro ''2001''

Designed by Peter Moore, Nike released the sneakers in 1985, the Air Jordan I pair of sneakers was considered a breakthrough in basketball shoe design and colorways.
The Air Jordan I is similar to the Nike Dunk and the Air Force 1 (shoe) in appearance. Although, when first released the Air Jordan's originally sold for $65, but hit retail and clearance racks for as low as $20.

On October 18, the NBA banned the Air Jordan I from being worn in the league. Jordan, however, still wore the Air Jordan I's and was fined $5,000 a game because the sneaker's color was too vibrant for shoe regulations.

In 1994, the Air Jordan I's were "retro'ed" in two different colorways. They sold poorly, once again.
As of 2011, the Air Jordan I has been the most reproduced Air Jordan with over 90 colorways.
